ShawnLittle  05/11/2005 - 08:00  Impoundments    One of my friends called and said he hadn't been fishing at all this year (new daughter, killer work schedule) and that he had off Thursday. I said well I think I can help you out with that problem and I'll be on my way to Loch Raven tomorrow. Of course, monitoring the weather all week I saw that it was going to be 80 degress, chances for Isolated Thunderstorms, 6 mph winds out of Northwest. Now this was as late as 8:00 last night! What do you know this morning I get to work check the weather and BAM!!! Winds are now up to 11mph out of the east, tempature dropped to 72 as high and afternoon showers are added to the isolated thunderstorms.

Kevin  05/10/2005 - 06:09  Impoundments    I hit Libery yesterday evening, this time in the canoe. I was fishing the shoreline of the coves just down lake from the second boat launch working both a zoom worm and a pop-R. I saw a swirl about 20 feet from shore and cast towards it with the pop-r and it was hit immediately by a good size fish. After a good 5 minutes of fight and getting dragged about a hundred feet in the canoe, I finally boated a nice 4 lb. Smallmouth, it was a beautiful fish and my first smallie to boot! I also cought a 2 lb largemouth a little farther down. Things are really starting to heat up on Liberty now!

muskalungee  05/08/2005 - 13:15  Fishing  Impoundments    Shawn little picked up this largemouth at Loch Raven on 7-May 2005 using a jerkbait. The rest of the fish caught that day were picked up on a spinnerbait.

ShawnLittle  05/08/2005 - 10:56  Impoundments    Saturday was another great day to be out on the resovoir, though after seeing those smallie pics from Monocacy I can see I was out at the wrong place. Day of course was spent battling the wind, and my fishing partner ended up falling off of the boat into the water which was unbelievably funny at the end of the day. This was the largest LM caught on the day but the others weren't nothing to be ashamed of:

striperchaser  05/07/2005 - 19:20  Trip Reports  Impoundments  Roll Your Own    Hey all, Decided to hit liberty today around 6am. Went out lastnight and caught some bait fish. Seven or eight white perch ranging from 6 to 8 inches. Went to my favorite spot this time a year for stripers. I call it pumkin point it's down off of ivymill rd. I put 2 perch on a egg sinker down deep,and fished one on a bobber 15 feet from shore. Around 730 my bobber was sumerged. So I waited for it to take some line. Which it did'nt for about 45 seconds. Then it started to move to left. Set the hook out of the water jumped a monster smallie. Got her in and weighed her 6lbs 3oz 21 inches long.
