Planted Some Trees Last Weekend.
TightLine  10/13/2006 - 08:18  Clubs and Organizations    Two friends of mine and I went and helped out the Chesepeake Bay Foundation (thanks for the tip Mike)last weekend. There were 138 volunteers, and we planted 800 trees and 400 shrubs along Glade Creek (above Frederick) that runs into the Monoc. It was a great experience...and a reall "feel good" thing to do. I was amazed at the number of volunteers. We started at 9:00 AM and finished at 12:30...just goes to show you what a big group of people can get done. They have more plantings coming up, and you can check their website for more info. I'll have some pictures soon. My digital camera got wet on a fishing/camping trip, but luckily I also had my film camera, but I won't get the pictures developed for a while.

Fantastic!
muskalungee  10/16/2006 - 16:05    TL,
This is exactly the kind of stuff we had in mind when we started MDfishing.org. Truly "helping the resource" isn't limited to just getting into fights about the degree at which someone practices CPR or protecting you favorite spot. The "resource" is about so much more then just smallmouth, I'm really glad you had the opportunity (and the intiative) to go and lend a hand.

Thanks for going!

Muskalungeeeeeeee!
