Yes I Did
smalljaw  06/11/2005 - 20:55  Trip Reports  Whittier    go fishing again. Hit the pond from 7:30 to 9:30 tonight and picked up 3. 2 nice ones on the Jack's worm and 1 decent one on a "Charliemander" which is a Case lizard. I think that it is the weather. I will have to remember that when it is hot in late spring the fish might be really active. I hope you guys are jealous because that is my intent in posting the fact that I've been fishing for 3 days in a row!!!
Somebody has to do it....
Captwalleye  06/12/2005 - 16:28    It's a tough job,but somone has to do it.I'm glad your getting out there and staying on them.I just returned from N.C.this morning. It was alright,I got some chores done, and managed to fish some too.The weather screwed up the Smallmouth fishing (I wonder if that happened cause I took my yak?),so we chased trout. You have to see these streams and rivers to believe them.Awesome just doesn't quite cover them.Close but still lacking.I'll elaborate as soon as possible.

Oh No!!!
smalljaw  06/13/2005 - 10:28    The Captain is a trout fisherman!! Can't wait to see your $2,000 fly rod and your Orvis rain suit :)

I just can't picture that!! Glad you got on something while you were down there. It is certainly better than not going at all or striking out.

Now hold on there!
Captwalleye  06/14/2005 - 05:23    I am a fisherman! I'll use what ever it takes to pursue my fine finned friends.I have a flyrod, but need to relearn to use it properly.
I caught my first trout when I was around 12 or so,up in Catoctin state park. That fish was caught the hard way,by hand.My Dad didn't believe me,so I had to go find another and catch that one too.I don't even need a fishing rod to catch fish,if it comes to that.
I was using spinning gear down South.some of the places we went you there is no way you could use a flyrod.I'm even thinking of checking out a spincast reel.I guess you could call it a specialize style of fishing.

By Hand?
muskalungee  06/14/2005 - 16:51    Capt, I remember you telling me that story when we were up at Bonds. No if you really had skills you'd catch one of those Liberty walleye with your bare hands! Now that would be a catch!

Muskalungeeeeeeee!
