As fishermen ourselves, we have always wanted the best gear to fish with but we never wanted to pay the premium price for it. So here at Champion Outfitters, you can find the lowest prices in the country. If we don't have it, we'll get it, without compromising our low cost goal. However, this does not mean sacrificing good service. We know in order to keep your business through out the years we must provide good service, and good service we shall provide!

We are a father and son team, Rod and Matt Champion. Both of us have fly fished for trout and smallmouth bass all of our lives. We decided to take a leap of faith and do what our passion is: be in the fly-fishing business. This came out of the desires of our heart and with your help we can live out our dreams. At the same time, we will provide you with tremendous buys on top-of- the-line merchandise, or as my wife says "Toys."

We are experienced on Tennessee tail waters, especially the Watauga and South Holston Rivers. Having lived in the mountains of NC for years, we know the Wild Trout streams of North Carolina well. Wild trout trips in the beautiful mountains of Western NC are also available. Of course, we offer the "catch-a-lot of fish", fun trips during the Fall, Winter and Spring on the Delayed Harvest Streams of North Carolina: the Tuckaseegee, Green and East Fork of the French Broad Rivers, these are just a few rivers that we guide and know well. A hundred fish a day are possible on these streams! The smallmouth bass guided trips are a blast with a fly rod! We will offer trips on the Toe River, French Broad and Broad Rivers in NC. If you haven't used a popping bug on smallmouth bass, you have missed a treat.
Few schools of thought.. MB7
parker  11/03/2010 - 00:21    Few schools of thought..
MB7-841 .crawfish in the rocky shallows ( tubes and jigs). Jerkbaits/cranks by ANY fresh downed trees. Deep diving crankbaits at the points with structure on them. Many of the locals have "hidden" fish pots/attractors/cribs, MB7-839 that they make during super low water times ( liek the pics/maps I sent you) Deep diving cranks...DEEP around these areas will produce.

The colder it gets and the lower the water..the easier to find the schools of shad etc. Fidn the pods of bait and youll find the pigs.

Ill go over other info with you in detail via PM or phone.

I was born and raised fishign on these lakes. Im no Jerry Sauter, but I know where these big girls are.MB7-838 Spring.
MB7-639.EVERY cove hold big fish. Summer 24-26ft of water near stumps, FALL ..all depends on how they drop water levels.

Went to the Potomac yesterday
parker  10/26/2010 - 04:18    Went to the Potomac yesterday between the 'doah and Great Falls. Got there at 6:15AM and fished until 1:30PM.JN0-100 The river was green and full of algae in the water column.1Y0-A08 Grass beds starting to grow and decomposing grass chunks floating on the surface too. Water clarity was 1 foot max or less due to the algae bloom.642-515 Saw one dead channel cat floating. Caught 5 smallies that all seemed healthy. Largest fish was 13 inches.642-873 Caught 3 other 12 inchers and one 11 incher. Fishing cut off around 9:00 AM. Water was 90 degrees! My next time on the river I'll have to try someplace cooler and see
