Strike 3
muskalungee  03/31/2005 - 10:50  Trip Reports    Well, I went down to the pond again yesterday. It's still real high and muddy but I expected to at least get a hit or two.....but nothing. Still looking for that first fish of the year. Got a chance to wet a line and talk to smalljaw, so it wasn't a total waste of time. :)
Don't feel bad!
Captwalleye  03/31/2005 - 13:52    I thought I'd do well at a pond that produced in the foul weather.
"Wrong"! Not a thing. Two evenings in a row. That's alright, your due,and it'll come.Might just be in a BIG way too.Keep trying when you can.If by chance you go to the same pond and conditions are the same.Fish against the bank,if there's cattails fish right in them.Flip a tube or Senko right in there, and be ready.

I didn't feel bad...
smalljaw  03/31/2005 - 20:33    Mike was trying pretty good there. I got there late because of traffic and just kind of fooled around throwing a tube and a jerkbait with no luck. On the bright side the water temp was 50+. So far up there that I though my thermometer was busted. We'll get'em this weekend and all I'll say is that you might want to think about bringing some Rat'l Traps because I ain't lending out any of mine :) Don't forget what Dodge man did at the pond last spring with those things.

Got the second battery at Sams tonight and slapped it on the charger a few minutes ago. We'll should have plenty of power for Saturday.

Strike 4
muskalungee  03/31/2005 - 21:49    I stopped by BH on the way home work this afternoon. It was cold and windy but I tossed on my boots and took my rod(s) down to take a quick look. The water is clearer then the pond, but still a little murky. I tried the same two lures I was using at the pond to no avail. The place actually looked dead. Hopefully after a few more days of good sunshine things will start to liven up a bit.

Looks like rain on Sat Smalljaw, so make sure you pack your Mickey Mouse Parka! :)

Muskalungeeeeeeee!
