Potomac trip planning
Jedwards36  01/11/2012 - 21:16  Potomac    I was thinking of planning a trip this spring for some big Potomac smallmouth. Any suggestions to places and lures. Thanks
Start now...
Captwalleye  01/13/2012 - 05:40    Start now looking for places.I'm going to guess that you'll be using your canoe so...look for places to put in and places to get out. That is If your going to do a float.Keep in mind there are rapids to contend with along certain areas. You also "MUST" wear a PFD.
As for lures use the same thing you use in the Monocacy.I like throwing suspending jerkbaits but to each his own.Throw what you have the most confidence in and vary your presentation. For example speed it up or slow it down.
If your really wanting to expand your fishin' territory get out NOW and look for your places to go.Have a plan of action and go for it.
Possibly we can get a few others to come out and have a float like in the past. That was a goodtime for sure.

Sorry for how late, I use 2"
Jedwards36  01/22/2012 - 20:06    Sorry for how late, I use 2" grubs. Will the 3" size b ok for both rivers?

Certainly!
Captwalleye  01/23/2012 - 07:17    Use what ever your comfortable with,"BUT" don't be afraid to try something different and new. Also be sure to give it a honest chance and don't be afraid to tweak the presentation.

I'm in...
DanMarino  01/15/2012 - 18:45    I'll join in if at all possible. Hopefully there will be less rain in 2012 :)
