Steve826  07/02/2010 - 15:04  Trip Reports  Impoundments  Roll Your Own    On Wednesday and Thursday, my family and I went on a camping trip to Cunningham Falls State Park. We fished both evenings from around 7-9 PM. We decided to keep things simple and bobber fish with nightcrawlers. The fishing was slow on the first night, but I managed to catch a very nice redear sunfish, around 9-10 inches long.

My brother also caught 2 small bluegills on the first night.

On the second night, we did much better. I caught a nice bluegill, around 7-8 inches long, and a largemouth that weighed around a pound or so.

Both my brother and dad caught some very nice bluegills as well. My brother also caught a tiny bass and my dad hooked and lost a nice bass on a Hula Popper that broke his line.

Both nights, we had great weather and it wasn't crowded at all. Overall, it was a very nice trip.
