Trout Fishing 4/10
Steve826  04/10/2010 - 20:02  Trip Reports  Roll Your Own    Photobucket

My uncle and I went trout fishing at a stream in Washington County today. Fished from 8AM to 2PM. I caught 7 rainbows ranging from 4-10 inches long and he caught about the same number with a nice 12 inch trout being his biggest for the day. We caught them on a bunch of different things- mealworms, nightcrawlers, maggots, and Powerbait. Some pictures are attached below. Nothing too big but a lot of fun anyway on ultralight gear.

I hate to be the one...
NewtotheUP  04/19/2010 - 21:14    ...to break it to you, but that first pic is a sucker/chub, not a trout...

What, nobody else has "honesty" in their lexicon?

i dont know
space inwaders  05/19/2010 - 13:39    I know this is an older post, but i was looking back through the site (yeah im bored).

The color is washed out for a trout, silvery like a chub. But the mouth and nose dont look like a sucker/chub. I thnk steve knows a trout when he sees it, and his uncle probably does too.

either way, im sure it was fun

It's about time!
Captwalleye  04/14/2010 - 05:23    I was wondering when you were going to post some fishin' action.Good job!.I'm tempted to do some Trout fishin' myself.I've got a trick or two I've picked up from my buddy Larry in NC.
If you get the chance you ought to pounce on your ponds as much as possible. They should be perfect for fishin' with the potential of giving up the BIG fish. Stay on em!

Thanks Capt. The trout sure w
Steve826  04/14/2010 - 10:44    Thanks Capt. The trout sure were a lot of fun on ultralight gear, fishing a tiny stream with no one around.

I'm hitting the pond this Saturday with my dad. I'll let everyone know how we do.

Take your camera!
Captwalleye  04/14/2010 - 11:25    Your weekend excusion just might be highlighted by a NPB.Be ready and good luck!
