mdela  02/02/2010 - 17:06    I am new to the site, and would like some advice on where to put in on the potomac for some Feb walleye fishing?
Thanks

smalljaw  02/03/2010 - 05:00    What kind of boat do you have? Kayak, Canoe, Prop-Jon, Jet-Jon, Glitter Boat :)

Will make a difference in the responses.

SpaceInwaders and CaptWalleye are our resident Walleye experts.

Good info on MD Fisheries web page

John Mullican wrote the POTOMAC overview on this update. You may run in to him when you are on the river. His article provides real good info.

Don't let SMALLJAW fool you, while Capt Walleye and SpaceInwaders are infact resident experts, ole SMALLJAW even lucks into a toothy critter every once in awhile.

ANyone can catch an eye on the potomac if they try. Hit the areas noted in the MD fisheries web page, throw plugs and grubs and you will find em.

Good luck!

Well I have to Agree
smalljaw  02/04/2010 - 06:05    but ... I did not catch my first 'eye until the wife broke the ice and caught one. Been fishing the Potomac for 30 years and she catches one on her 3rd trip. I am just glad the jinx is off of me. For the record I am not throwing them back unless I have 2 in the boat already. I regretted doing that last time.

I mhave a Lowes w/ a 60hp jet
mdela  02/03/2010 - 08:12    I mhave a Lowes w/ a 60hp jet, real stable boat
