Introducing myself to the board and some recent success.
MskSlyr  09/17/2009 - 12:08    Don't typically join but was scrolling around and thought I would drop a line. Used to belong to one of the local musky boards but decided to not pursue any longer. My name is Mat Beall and I fish the Potomac as well as a lot of other Md bodies of water including ponds and lakes near Washington, Frederick, Montgomery County. My favorite two species to pursue are Muskies and Walleye but do fish for bass as well. I have had quite a bit of success with the Muskie and Walleye over the past 10 years in which some may have seen some past postings on the MD DNR site. I am the current Natural Muskie state record holder which I have held for 5 or so years now. That particular fish was my fifth largest Muskie coming from the Potomac. Have not been out a lot lately but have had some success recently with some good bass at a Frederick County pond. Look forward to conversing with some local anglers from what it seems there is a good group here. Will try and attach some pictures of my recent outing here in a little while.

Thanks for the warm welcome.

Welcome Mat!
Steve826  09/17/2009 - 13:23    Mat,

Great to have you here! I've seen some of your musky pics on DNR's reports (including the state record) and I can certainly say your presence on the board will definitely bring a lot to the table.

I also fish a few Frederick Co. ponds, both public and private, and do fairly well on big bluegills and medium sized largemouth at a private pond. I'll probably have to send you a PM to pick your brain about pond fishing :D

Again, welcome to the board.

Steve
