Saying hello- I've relocated
Reel Lunker  07/27/2009 - 16:59  Friends of MDfishing.org  Roll Your Own    Thought I would stop in and say hello. I still check the site out from time to time, as I I would rather look at fishing information than work sometimes.

As my brother stated in his post about looking for a boat I have relocated to the West Coast (San Francisco) for work. The fishing has been slow so far as I have been busy getting settled into a new city and travelling with work but hopefully starts to pick up. The emphasis around here seems to be fishing the bay and ocean for larger saltwater species and not so much freshwater, although maybe I need to venture out further. Seems like to get into some good largemouth and smallmouth fishing I need to hit up some of the reservoirs which seem to be about 2-3 hours away, and are best fished with a boat which I lack and have no place to keep one if I did. Either way, if I get into anything I will share, even though they will not be caught in MD. I think its always nice to share pics and stories. Hope to do some fishing on the Monocacy when I come home in late August for the week of my birthday. Hope all is well with everyone.
John,
BaconSlayer  07/29/2009 - 14:27    For I feel like you are a MDfishing trader moving out to California. We dont need your kind on this site showing us a bunch of fish you caught (supposivly). Some of the pictures you sent me already look like you took your rod to the fish market, bought a fish and had the cashier take your picture. The tourists in the background gave it away. Thanksssss!

Be careful....
Reel Lunker  07/30/2009 - 01:05    Don't start writing checks (comments) your lures can't cash!!!

John the fisherman
Dee Tee  07/29/2009 - 10:46    I thought John the fisherman used to catch Stripers down San Pablo Bay. You also have Salmon fishing north of you. There's bound to be a SFfishing.org out there somewhere with good local fresh water info.

I spent some time out that way many years ago. It's a neat place, a little weird, but neat, hope you enjoy it.

Don't worry, my bail is open!

D, you couldn't have described it any better. Definitely a neat beautiful area, but there are definitely some oddities out here. Thanks for the well wishes. Enjoy the rest of the summer and fall fishing.
