high water times

The water has been high lately, but during the past few warm days I had to give it a shot.
I went out 12/24 for the evening, found all of my favorite spots underwater... I was able to fish a decent looking area, but i found no signs of life.
After a few days, i went out saturday 12/27 and sunday 12/28 evenings to try and take advantage of the unusually warm weather. The water had steadily warmed up to the 40 degree mark, but all my favorite spots were still in-accessible. I hiked around a bit sunday, and found some interesting spots, although not exactly what i was hoping to find. Still no life from below.
I'm hoping for lower water levels so i can at least access good known spots, otherwise- its time to hike and explore.
