Liberty 11/2/2008
TightLine  11/03/2008 - 12:07  Trip Reports  Liberty  Roll Your Own    Finally got a chance to get out on the water. It was a lot colder than I expected with a brisk NE wind a blowing. I got out early to see if I could get a top-water bite going, but it didn't happen. I spent most of my time working a Carolina rigged tube over 30' deep structure, but ended up only catching one chunky smallie (~14") on a blade bait jigged in 30-35'. I did find a nice area close to the boat ramp that should produce some fish in the upcoming month or so. I have the week of Thanksgiving off, so I hope I can find some fish to cooperate then.

Water temps were 57-58 degrees.

It's about time!
Captwalleye  11/03/2008 - 12:35    Come on Bill! Time to show us one of those monsters lurking in the depths of liberty.Fall foliage is great right now isn't it? I was up there just before dark prowling with absolutely nothing to show for my efforts.Must be limbo time, but it won't last for long.
