Its hot.........and nobody else is posting...sooo.........
ogbudha  07/22/2008 - 15:09  Trip Reports  River    Hit the river for a spell and did fairly well. Wet waded a stretch for a few hours and managed to get quite a few dozen fish. Smallies all associated to fast water with some depth of 3-4 feet or more. Heavy weighted tubes..1/4-3/8 ounce jigheads produced the best fish. Smaller grubs brought plenty of action but small fish.
Rivers dropping like my 401k account. Time to grab a cold beverage and wait for rain.
I've only fished once since I came back from Vermont
TightLine  07/23/2008 - 11:17    I hit Liberty about a month ago, and got zilch. It seems like I've been finding every reason in the book, not to go fishing. I'v got to get out of the slump I'm in. I'm glad to see most of you have been after 'em.

So true about the 401K...more like a 101K now..ha ha!

Thought Everyone Left Town!
jackson  07/23/2008 - 05:04    I have not made a post because I've not been fishing in over a week! And it's killing me! Between the heat, garden duties, watching the little rug-rats, and ferrying the boat back'n forth between mechanics, I've just not made it out. Glad to see you got out and did well though! Good Luck, Jackson!!

muskalungee  07/22/2008 - 18:48    I'm taking the opportunity to have some work done on the S.S. 3xzulu. I have my boot off being welded from my "incident" on fathers day, and I'm taking the boat on Saturday to get holes welded up and the stern cracks fixed. I'll be ready when the river is!
Muskalungeeeeeeee!

It is hot, summer time feeshing
REB9  07/22/2008 - 16:53    Ben- Nice report. I wet waded for an hour on Sunday. Reever water temp was bathtub warm. Hit some faster water and found the smallies just like you. Bigger feesh were hitting bigger baits dead sticked on the bottom. Dinks were hitting the grubs with gusto. I told SPOTHOGG I'm going to take a reever break until the POR gauge hits 2.5...... Bout that time the salad should be up....

Can't wait for the fall feed............. Time to catch up on the honey do list and build up those kitchen passes!!!!

August will find me heading for the ocean looking to catch a 7 inch spot......
