Green Fish
jackson  07/10/2008 - 15:57  Trip Reports  Impoundments

Made a quick foray for green fish at a local reservoir. Fishing or rather catching was difficult at best. In 5 hours of fishing only managed 4 fish. Water temp. 82.5 deg. , clear skies, NW breeze. Two off a jig'n pig and two off 4" ring worm. All approx. 14' deep. One thing I did see which was quite disturbing, to me anyway, was another angler at ramp reaching into his livewell a giving a good 16" bass away to another angler fishing off the boat ramp dock. Those fishing were questionable to me whether they even had a license, probably did though? I just wondered what else was in his livewell? Even though legal and within his right, I just believe if your going to keep fish you should keep same for your own consumption, if not release!

jackson  07/11/2008 - 05:50    Mike, I noted and posted the same thing on 5/21/08. Somethings amiss. Seeing a few sunfish, but not in numbers. Still have not hooked an accidental crappie or musky this year! Good Luck, Jackson!!

Little spot?
Munkin  07/13/2008 - 18:30    Kind of looks like Black Hills to me? That place is great or the dead sea depending on when you are there.

jackson  07/14/2008 - 04:56    It's always great if you can fish 2 hrs. either side of daylight! But as you probably know BH is always best on the worst weather days. Good Luck, Jackson!!
