Upper Potomac Bday fish!

ogbudha 02/12/2008 - 21:00 Trip Reports Potomac Hit the river during the nasty storm front on Sunday. Had my wife and 2 labs with me. Wind gusts of 30-40 mph and high muddy water sounded like fun. I walked the shoreline looking for protected spots with deepwater...or decent depth water that was out of the flow. I hit 3 or so spots and then settled in on a nice spot I really thought would produce. I worked it slow and eventually picked up a chunky 16" out of one of these pockets. Fish hit a nice jig that was made for my son. It was a nice way to spend my birthday. Spring is coming.....spring is coming

ogbudha 02/13/2008 - 13:45 Im clawing at the walls. Cabin fever big time. My boat has been patiently waiting in the garage for a fishing trip. Ive had it out and ran from Lander to Harpers Ferry in the high water...but no fishing. It was just to scout out any fresh downfalls and debris piles...but mainly to get out and use the boat.
