Saturday Afternoon Boat Ride!!
REB9  12/08/2007 - 17:35  Trip Reports  Essays  Potomac    The wife informed me that I needed to get out of the house.... SO, off to the river I went. Hit the water at 1PM. Not a hint of wind. Blue-bird skies, 42 degrees. Water was 35 degrees. Fished plastic, jerkbaits, hair jigs, slow-rolled a single blade spinnerbait, grubs, beavers, stinko's, you name it..... Na-da, nope, nothing.... So, I went eyeing. Caught two late in the afternoon. Headed in at 4:15PM.. Sure wouldn't want to have gone swimming... Saw a hearty yakker just south of the ramp.

NO OGBUDHA, NO SMALLJAW, NO MUSKALUNGEE... Come on boys- Hit the water......The ice isn't flowin yet......

I can't even remember what
smalljaw  12/09/2007 - 19:51    I did on Saturday now. I know what I didn't do :)

Was supposed to be in NYC this weekend but the trip got canceled. Not done for the year just yet though and temps like that don't scare me. I will be out at least once more before the end of the year....maybe more.

Nice job switching over to the eyes REB9...as always youdaman.

Your stretch of the river
ogbudha  12/08/2007 - 20:33    While you were out tooling around burning gas...I was busy leaving aluminum shavings all over the place near my home waters. Even at 1.7 I still had fun/trouble running north.
