Weather was Great, Fishing was Just OK
smalljaw  11/21/2007 - 18:46  Trip Reports  Potomac
Got out this afternoon for a little fishin'. Hooked up with Chumlee (Tim) to fish Area 53 (sworn to secrecy, right Tim?). As usual I ran upriver and who do I run into? REB9. It's like he lives in that boat :) Had a nice talk with Bob and then Tim and I commenced to fishing. Started with the jerkbait but it was just a little too windy to throw casting gear today. Fell back on the pattern that Bob laid on us which was a beaver. Bite was slow but managed 5 or 6 fish in about 5 hours of lazy fishing. Tim landed one or two and broke off something BIG. I will leave it to him to tell his story.

Needless to say, Tim was good company and definitely a fisherman. Had fun talking and laughing especially when he got all spun up about the ICC. Was a good day Tim and you will definitely get direct invites from me in the future.

The Boat\The One that Got Away\ICC
Chumlee  11/21/2007 - 21:58    I had a lot of fun as well and that boat of yours kicks butt. Roomy and a very comfortable fishing machine. Area 53? I thought it was 35 or 36 something. If I didn't follow you out of the Deliverance filming area I would probably still be talking to ON-Star to get me home.

About the big one that got away. I was using a Strike King 3X Glass minnow with a reddish color on a blakemore jig head. When the strike occurred I felt a lot of weight on the line and in one quick turn the line was snapped just above the lure. I would have to suspect that I made a lure donation to muskyworld. I know it was not equipment breakdown because I was using one of Smalljaw's rod and reels. We need more days like this in November, weather was spectacular.

About the ICC - I don't care who gets the credit, just get-er-done!
