smalljaw JRJ jet top speed
ogbudha  10/12/2007 - 08:59    Jeff I may have you by a few mph BUT youll find out that you really dont need it. Youll need the power when your hauling another guy and shooting skinny fast water...most of the time youll run 2/3 throttle or so. I run wide open due to the size of my boat and how much it drafts...2-3 " more than your rig. I just needed an all purpose rig..otherwise Id have a stick steer.

Once your motor breaks in youll be faster than me.........MAYBE :)

I noticed that
smalljaw  10/12/2007 - 09:29    at WOT with Muskalungee in the boat and MY real GPS I can get 30MPH out of her. With TOOBIGTOYAK in the boat I get the same top speed. Interesting because with me and TOOBIG that is really equivalent to 3 grown men in the boat.

Yeah but
smalljaw  10/11/2007 - 19:18    Ben's boat is faster boohoohoo :(

Thanks for the kind words TL

Jeff

Thanks LYALL8
smalljaw  10/09/2007 - 04:49    I am hoping to be there also. If we don't get rain I don't really know where all of us are supposed to fish though :)

Nice Ride!
REB9  10/09/2007 - 11:36    That sure is a pretty boat. Let us know when you have your first rock encounter! REb9

rodeo
ogbudha  10/09/2007 - 07:11    Yeah.its a valid concern. I have a few spots around the area we can get out in boats. I actually tried to launch my rig at Brunswick. It wouldnt even float! Ill have to run the old rig or launch at the campground. Fingers crossed that this cold snap the next few days kills the grass...and then that we get a trop. storm or something.

I'm trying to figure out...
NewtotheUP  10/09/2007 - 16:29    ... how you fellas get a jetboat out at B'wick. The ramp under the bridge was out of the water yesterday.

Easy enough in a 'yak though...

Brunswick?
ogbudha  10/09/2007 - 18:05    Its easy to get out at Brunswick...just get the lawnmower and cut yourself a path! :) We actually took our rigs to slightly deeper water, north a few miles. Wanted to break in the rigs in an area with minimal underwater hazards. It still had some ledges that were just a few inches under the surface. It was nice to feel the boat lift a little when you go over them at 35 plus mph! Brunswick will be very tough if we dont get rain...thats why I just added my sot yak to my fleet.
